Why Choose Professional Teeth Whitening?

Personalized Consultation

We start by examining your teeth and gums to make sure whitening is the right option for you. We’ll talk through your goals, answer your questions, and match your whitening plan to your lifestyle and comfort level.

In-Office Whitening Treatment

Once you’re ready, we protect your lips and gums before applying professional-strength whitening gel to your teeth. A special light activates the gel to break down deep stains, brightening your smile by several shades in under an hour.

Instant Results + Aftercare

You’ll leave your appointment with visibly whiter teeth and personalized instructions on how to maintain your new smile. We also offer touch-up kits and tips for keeping your results fresh between visits.

What Causes Tooth Discoloration?

Not all stains are the same. That’s why professional whitening begins with an expert diagnosis.

Common causes of stains we treat:

  • Food & Drink: Coffee, tea, red wine, berries, dark sauces
  • Tobacco Use: Yellowing or brown discoloration from smoking or chewing
  • Aging: Enamel thins over time, revealing the darker dentin layer
  • Fluorosis: White or brown spots from excess fluoride exposure during development
  • Medications: Certain antibiotics, like tetracycline, can cause internal staining
  • Injury: Trauma to a tooth can lead to internal darkening over time

If your staining is deeper or resistant to whitening, we may recommend other cosmetic treatments like veneers or bonding.

Whitening vs. Veneers: What’s Right for You?

Professional teeth whitening is best for patients with healthy teeth and surface-level staining. But if you’re looking to correct other cosmetic issues, like chipped, misshapen, or uneven teeth, veneers may be the better option. During your consultation, we’ll help you decide which solution fits your goals, budget, and long-term plans.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the results last?

With proper care, your results can last 6 months to 2 years. Avoiding staining foods and practicing good oral hygiene helps extend the effects.

Can I whiten my teeth if I have fillings or crowns?

Whitening doesn’t affect restorations like fillings or crowns. We’ll assess your current dental work and may recommend alternatives to achieve an even shade.

Will it make my teeth sensitive?

Some patients experience mild, temporary sensitivity. We take steps to minimize this and adjust your treatment if needed.

Is whitening safe for my enamel?

Yes. Our whitening gel is specially formulated to be gentle on enamel and is administered under professional supervision.

How long does in-office whitening take?

Our Zoom! whitening treatment takes about one hour and can brighten your smile by several shades in a single visit.

Will these teeth whitening methods damage my teeth?

The only teeth whitening methods we offer are certified to be safe and effective. Whether you use our professional, in-office whitening system or one of our take-home kits, your teeth will be safe. We advise you to stay away from DIY tips or “hacks” that may appear online for teeth whitening: these can cause permanent damage!

Can I whiten my crowns and other fake teeth?

Whitening is more effective on natural teeth than on restorations. If you have any crowns or other fake teeth, it’s unlikely that the whitening treatments will alter their appearance.

Is teeth whitening painful?

No. During the treatment, you may experience some discomfort as the whitening tools are maneuvered around your mouth, but it isn’t painful. Some may experience temporary sensitivity after the treatment, which typically subsides. If you experience sensitivity after your treatment, we recommend avoiding hot or cold foods for the first day or two after the treatment.

Will whitening work on all types of discoloration?

Whitening treatments work best on yellowing than on gray or darkened teeth, or teeth that have discolored due to medication. Surface stains are simple to treat with our whitening systems.

How long does teeth whitening last?

Results can last several months, depending on lifestyle and oral hygiene.
